Thanks to its walls, commissioned in 1844 by Leopold II, the Grand Duke of Tuscany, guests can enjoy the decidedly cultural and historical atmosphere that surrounds "Il Mulinaccio".
The hotel is surrounded by Rimigliano Nature Park with its 120 hectares of unspoilt and protected nature. Founded in 1973, the Park is one of the most evocative places along the entire coastline, its sand dunes covered with juniper and myrtle bushes and mastic trees; woods filled with holme and cork oak trees and a dense pinewood back onto a beach of golden sand that is no more than 400 m beyond the hotel.
The Mulinaccio's location makes it easy to take day trips to Tuscany's most famous Art cities, the magnificent Etruscan Coast and the nearby Island of Elba. The "Calidario" spa complex is not far from the hotel either.
Its natural lake is fed with water from ancient springs that rise at 36°, perfect for a wonderful warm bath bound to make anyone feel amazing.
The garden that surrounds the three storey building in which the hotels bedrooms are located, also provides the setting for guests to taste delicious Tuscan speciality meat and fish dishes.
